The Mk2 Sport DME is back, but still dependent on the factory injector driver chip. Because of this, we must reuse this chip from a core DME to build up your Mk2 Sport DME. However, we can accept an early or late mode 944 DME as a core. We are working on designing our own custom injector driver, but there is currently no ETA on when it will be available.
You must send in a core DME before your order can be built up
The core DME can be out of any early or late model 944 from 1982 to 1991 equipped with an 8-valve engine.

The Mk2 Sport DME is back with a major upgrade to our optional MAF conversion kit for the 944 NA. It now has a USB C port that connects to a Windows PC (x86). Via our free FocusOBD software (v1.14.427 or newer), you can read, graph and data-log 11 parameters in real-time. Also, the FocusOBD software will automatically update the MAF firmware to enhance features, improve performance or fix bugs. We have big plans for our MAF technology this year, you can expect more to come.

Introduction
The Focus 9 Technology “Mark 2” (Mk2) SPORT DME is the ideal replacement for your factory 944 and 944 Turbo DME. While based on the factory Bosch DME, we leveraged over a decade of design experience with the original Sport DME to create the ultimate replacement. The Mark 2 Sport DME is 99% brand new but does require a single microchip from an early or late mode 944 DME. Because of this, you must send in a core DME before your order can be fulfilled. We have absolute confidence in our DME products and back it up with an unprecedented limited-lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. At a price point comparable to a “rebuilt” DME, it will be difficult to justify anything less.
Fitment
The MK2 Sport DME is identical to the factory 944 Bosch DME in form, fit and function. This means it bolts into your 944 just like the factory DME. It also accepts any stock or performance chip made for the factory DME. The Mk2 Sport DME is a unified design, meaning it is a direct replacement for all 8-Valve 944 DMEs manufactured from 1982 to 1991. However, the early model 944 (1982 to 1985) will require an updated AFM (Bosch 0 280 202 064) or upgrade to a MAF kit such as the one F9T or Lindsey Racing offers.
Overview
The Mk2 Sport DME is not a simple “refresh” of the original Bosch ML3.x design. We completely reverse engineered the factory Bosch DME over a decade ago and have incrementally improved the design ever since. We are 944 fanatics with an engineering degree and decades of design experience. Every component and design element was obsessively scrutinized. We not only know exactly what fails on the factory Bosch DME, but why it fails. We use this knowledge to design DME products that are engineered to be the most reliable part in your 944.
